LOS ALAMITOS, CA—NOVEMBER 4, 2022–With six victories already this year, Ed and Von Zae McNelis’ Scoops Dynasty is having a tremendous campaign. The son of three-time world champion sire FDD Dynasty is the first horse since Powerful Favorite in 2019 to win six or more races in a single season at Los Alamitos and only the 21st horse with that many wins since 2010.
During that span, the great Moonist has the most wins in a single season with nine victories during 2014. Only nine Quarter Horses since the start of 2010 have won seven or more races in a single year at Los Alamitos.
Scoops Dynasty will look for his seventh victory of the year when he joins a tremendous field in Sunday’s running of the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Super Derby (see related story).
