OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--JUNE 1, 2023--Co-fastest qualifiers Hooked N Gone and Sir James are among the 10 3-year-olds entered back in Saturday's 400-yard, $268,750 Heritage Place Derby (G2) at Remington Park.

A homebred son of the Corona Cartel stallion Coronado Cartel trained by Luis Villafranco for owner Ellen Kennedy Racing LLC, Sir James began his sophomore campaign with a 1 1/2-length victory in the third Heritage Place Derby trial on May 13.

The colt has won five of 10 races -- including all three of his outs at the 400-yard distance -- and he has earned $170,103, and he ended his 2-year-old season with a neck victory in the November 15, $283,000 Black Gold 400 Lads Futurity at Will Rogers Downs.

Sir James drew post 4 and will be ridden by Roman Cruz.

Hooked N Gone races for Regina Laymon from the barn of trainer Victor Ibarra. A homebred Pyc Paint Your Wagon gelding, Hooked N Gone has won his last two outs, including the April 22, $190,000 Remington Park Derby (RG2) for Oklahoma-bred 3-year-olds.

Hooked N Gone drew post 10 and will be ridden by Cristian Esqueda.

Also on Saturday, Sassalitical heads a field of 10 distaffers entered in the 400-yard, $100,000 Junos Request Stakes (RG2).

Trained by Clint Crawford for owners Tyler and Naia Graham, Sassalitical both of her outs and has banked $74,514 during the current Remington Park meet, and her record includes a neck victory at odds of 13-1 in the March 25, 350-yard Decketta Stakes (G2).

The 4-year-old daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess has won four of her six starts at Remington.

Sassalitical drew post 4 and will be ridden by Jorge Torres.

Kelly Yother Equine LLC's O Donovan Rossa drew post 5 for Saturday's 870-yard, $50,000 Remington Distance Championship (G1).

A 5-year-old son of world champion Apollitical Jess trained by Dee Keener, O Donovan Rossa brings in a two-race win streak that includes a half-length victory in the May 6, 870-yard Pauls Valley Stakes (G2). The chestnut gelding has won five of his six starts at the 870 distance.

O Donovan Rossa will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.

Dennis Dreier's Proximity, a daughter of Moonin The Eagle and the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 sophomore fillies entered back in Saturday's 400-yard, $270,000 Heritage Place Oaks.

A $20,000 purchase at the 2021 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, Proximity has earned $103,383 from three races this season, and her two wins include a neck victory at odds of 12-1 in the 350-yard, $235,000 Oklahoma Derby (G3) on March 25. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon.

Deck Stack, a gelded son of Docs Best Card and a $28,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale, heads a field of 10 2-year-olds entered back in Saturday's 350-yard, $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile Stakes.

Deck Stack is trained by Dee Keener for owner Elizabeth Logan. The gelding has earned 8,874 from two races, and he broke his maiden in a Heritage Place Futurity trial on May 15.

Deck Stack drew post 9 and will be ridden by James Flores.
