BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 26, 2024–Special Wild Train B, a daughter of Freighttrain B leased by Bobby D. Cox, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for Friday's 400-yard, $101,418 Mardi Gras Oaks (R) for state-bred 3-year-old fillies at Louisiana Downs.

Trained by Roy Roberts, Special Wild Train B is the third-fastest qualifier from four Mardi Gras Oaks trials contested on March 6. The filly has earned $484,720 from 10 races, and she ended her juvenile campaign with a half-length victory in Louisiana's richest Quarter Horse race, the December 16, $1-million LQHBA Million Futurity (RG1) at Evangeline Downs.

Special Wild Train B drew post 6 and will be ridden by Arnulfo Gutierrez.

Guerras Racing Stables' MP Adored set the fastest qualifying time with her three-quarter length win in the first Mardi Gras Oaks trial. Gilberto Gonzalez trains the sorrel daughter of Mr Piloto and $15,500 purchase at the 2022 LQHBA Yearling Sale.

MP Adored drew the rail post and will be ridden by Arturo Alvarez.
