OGDEN, UT–APRIL 4, 2024–Thirty-five 2-year-olds sired by eligible stallions are entered in Saturday's 300-yard Beehive Futurity (R) trials at Weber Downs.

The fastest qualifiers from Saturday's six heats will meet in the April 21 Beehive Futurity final.

Mysterious Cartel, a son of Five Bar Cartel trained by Abelardo Gonzalez for owner Luis A. Gonzalez, was a $31,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. The sorrel colt is out of Mysterious Night, an unplaced Valiant Hero mare, and he is a half brother to the winning and stakes-placed Jet Black Patriot gelding Mysterious Patriot. His third dam, the Victory Dash mare Daring Difference, won the 1994 Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park and was a finalist in Noblesse Six's All American Futurity (G1).

Mysterious Cartel drew post 5 and will be ridden by Cesar T. Moreno in the sixth trial.

Michael Mckell purchased Notin Missing Here from McColee Land and Livestock for $15,000 at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale. A bay daughter of champion Kvn Corona, the filly is out of Missmerizing, a winning and stakes-placed daughter of Pyc Paint Your Wagon and a finalist in the 2017 Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity (G3) and '18 Southern California Derby (G2) at Los Alamitos.

Notin MIssing Here drew post 3 and will be ridden by Jesus Canales for trainer Sergio Canales.
