Nine Sprinters Entered in $20,000 Delta Dash

Nine Sprinters Entered in $20,000 Delta Dash

VINTON, LA--MAY 28, 2024--Nine sprinters, led by TF Jess Doing Curls, are entered in Saturday's 250-yard, $20,000 Delta Dash Stakes at Delta Downs.

A 3-year-old son of One Sweet Jess owned and trained by Jorge E. Rubio, TF Jess Doing Curls has won two of his three starts at the short 250-yard distance, including a $26,000 allowance sprint at Delta Downs on May 9. The gelding drew the rail post and will be ridden by Ubaldo Luna.

Other contenders include Alberto Salinas' Dynasty Blood and J.W. Owens' A Secret To Catch. A 4-year-old Apollitical Blood mare trained by Jose Carrizales, Dynasty Blood is coming off of a second-place finish, a half of a length behind winner PK Pure Rogue, in the 300-yard, $40,000 Open Me A Corona Stakes (RG2) on April 26.

Dynasty Blood drew post 2 and will be ridden by Ricardo Hernandez Jr.

A Secret To Catch will be making his first official start since September 30, when the 4-year-old Hez Our Secret gelding scored a nose victory in the 220-yard, $20,000 Evangeline Downs Dash. A Secret To Catch drew post 7 and will be ridden by Yaidel Rodriguez for trainer Jaime E. Gonzalez.
