VINTON, LA–JUNE 17, 2024–Graded stakes winners RF Fast Dash N Train, Gold Gun Z, and Hes Bold As Corona are three of the 109 Louisiana-bred 2-year-olds entered in Friday's 350-yard Lee Berwick Futurity (RG1) trials at Delta Downs.

RF Fast Dash N Train is a bay daughter of Freighttrain B trained by Juan Diaz Jr. for owner Jaime Cardenas. A $57,000 purchase at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale, the filly has earned $151,763 from three races, and her two wins include a head victory in the 330-yard, $291,000 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) for state-bred fillies at Delta Downs on May 24.

RF Fast Dash N Train drew post three and will be ridden by Victor Urieta Jr. in the seventh of 12 trials.

Gold Gun Z was a $122,000 yearling buy at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale. A bay son of the One Famous Eagle stallion Gold Heart Eagle V trained by Jose R. Espinosa for owner Party Tyme Racing, the gelding has won both of his outs -- including the 330-yard, $292,000 Louisiana Breeders' Laddie Futurity (R) for state-bred colts and geldings on May 25 -- and he has banked $151,966.

Gold Gun Z drew post five and will be ridden by Sabino Reyes in the 12th heat.

Hes Bold As Corona will be stretching out in distance off of his half-length win in a 250-yard, $12,000 non-winners-of-two allowance dash on May 24. A gray son of Coronas Leaving You trained by Guillermo Martinez for owner M and M Stables LLC, the gelding broke his maiden with a half-length victory in the 300-yard, $459,000 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) at Louisiana Downs on March 30.

Hes Bold As Corona drew post six and will be ridden by Rolando Cabrera in the eighth trial.

The ten fastest qualifiers will meet on July 13 in the $200,000-added Lee Berwick Futurity final.
