VINTON, LA–JULY 4, 2024–Blue Eyed Jane, a daughter of the Favorite Cartel stallion Tarzanito and the fastest qualifier, is the 8-5 morning-line favorite for Saturday's 350-yard, $303,490 Firecracker Futurity (G2) at Delta Downs.

A $16,500 purchase at last year's TQHA Yearling Sale in San Antonio, Blue Eyed Jane is trained by Juan Diaz Jr. for owner David L. Martinez.

The filly has earned $53,096 from four races in Louisiana and Texas, and her two wins include a wire-to-wire, 2 3/4-length victory in the 350-yard, $102,000 John Deere Sam Houston Juvenile Challenge Stakes (G3) on May 10.

Blue Eyed Jane is coming off of a clear 2 1/4-length win in the second of six Firecracker Futurity trials on June 15. The filly drew post 7 and will be ridden by Nestor Duran.

Other contenders include Martin and Claudia Galvan's Temptedtogotothebar, an undefeated son of champion Tempting Dash trained by Raul Galvan, and Luis Abram Gaatas' Sweet Pie Corona, a homebred One Sweet Jess colt.

Temptedtogotothebar has won all three of his races and has earned $19,020, and he made his local debut with a 1 1/4-length victory in his Firecracker Futurity trial.

Temptedtogothebar drew post 3 and will be ridden by J.R. Ramirez.

Sweet Pie Corona drew post 5 and will be ridden by Arturo Alvarez for trainer Noe Sanchez. The colt brings in a three-race win streak, including a clear 2 1/4-length victory in his Firecracker Futurity trial.
