GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–OCTOBER 1, 2024–Two multiple graded stakes winners from the barn of trainer Juan Diaz Jr., Joose Boxx and DK Marney Jess, headline the ten juveniles entered back in Saturday’s 400-yard, $450,000 Dash For Cash Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park.
A gray son of Kiss My Hocks racing for Javier De Los Santos Muzquiz, Joose Boxx has earned $561,728 from seven races, and his five wins include the March 23, $503,000 Oklahoma Futurity (G2) at Remington Park, and the July 27, $606,000 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1) at Retama Park.
Joose Boxx’s record also includes a fourth-place finish in Oklahoma’s richest horse race, the July 1, $1.082-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1). The gelding drew post six and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.
DK Marney Jess has won all six of his outs and has banked $454,150 for her owner, CH Horse Racing LLC. A bay daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess, the filly’s season resume includes victories in the March 30, $398,000 Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2), and the June 15, $622,000 Sam Houston Futurity (G2).
DK Marney Jess drew post three and will be ridden by Nestor Duran.
Also on Saturday, Renee K. Wilson’s Respct drew post 8 for the 400-yard, $40,000 Dash For Cash Juvenile Stakes.
A bay son of Im A Fancy PYC, Respct has won three of his four starts and has earned $57,010. The colt’s record includes a second-place finish, a neck behind winner Ima Fancy Eye Opener, in the 350-yard, $200,000 Speedhorse Futurity (G3) at Fair Meadows at Tulsa in July.
Mario Delgado will ride Respct for trainer Clint Crawford.
