CLAREMORE, OK–NOVEMBER 8, 2024–Donald J. Friesen's A Legacy Of Tales, a graded stakes winner during the Prairie Meadows meet, drew post 2 for Sunday's 400-yard, $24,000 OQHRA Fall Classic Stakes at Will Rogers Downs.
A homebred 4-year-old Wagon Tales gelding trained by Stacy Charette-Hill, A Legacy Of Tales competed only against stakes company at Prairie Meadows, and he is coming off of a wire-to-wire, one-length victory in the 400-yard, $50,000 Two Rivers Stakes (G3) September 27.
A Legacy Of Tales has won 10 of his 24 races -- including six of his 10 outs at the 400-yard distance -- and he has earned $308,219. Cristian Esqueda will ride the gelding on Sunday.
Bill Doenz's Tempting Cowboy will be facing aged stakes company for the first time in his career. A homebred son of Flying Cowboy 123 trained by Josh Taylor, the colt has won three of his six outs at the 400-yard trip, including the September 7, $76,000 Sweetwater Downs Derby at Rock Springs, Wyoming.
