AURORA, CO–NOVEMBER 15, 2024–Arapahoe Park near Denver will end its 2024 racing season with a 10-race program on Sunday. Post time for the first race is set for 12 p.m. (MST).

Sunday's card is anchored by two stakes restricted to Colorado-bred runners. Lota Hocks, a stakes-placed son of Lota PYC and the fastest qualifier, leads a group of 10 state-bred juveniles entered back in the 350-yard, $135,620 Cherry Creek Futurity (R).

Lota Hocks has won both of his outs during the Arapahoe Park meet, including the second of four Cherry Creek Futurity trials on October 19. Jose Nava Arjon trains the black gelding for owner Arjon Jose Salvador Nava.

Lota Hocks drew post 8 and will be ridden by Adrian Morales.

Also on Sunday, fastest qualifier and morning-line favorite Presido Pete drew post 4 for the 350-yard, $102,555 Lucille Rowe Derby (R) for Colorado-bred sophomores.

Presido Pete is trained by Haley Hobbs for owner Francisco J. Cornejo. A homebred son of The Marfa Lights and a finalist in the open September 29 Rocky Mountain Derby, the sorrel colt is coming off of a 1 1/4-length win in the second of three trials on October 20.
