GILLETTE, WY—JUNE 21, 2025—A field of ten promising state-bred two-year-olds will contest the $226,000 Wyoming Bred QH Futurity at 300 yards in Race 5 at Energy Downs 307 Horse Racing on Saturday.

First post is set for 3:10 p.m. MDT.

Morning-line favorite Ud Baby (3-1) will break from post nine for owner-breeder Lucero Uriel Dominguez and trainer Calli VanTassell Dominguez.

A daughter of multiple stakes sire Five Bar Cartel out of the Tac It Like A Man mare Bvlgari B, Ud Baby comes into the final off an authoritative trial win on June 7, where she posted the top qualifying time of 15.353 and earned a 101 speed index.

In that outing, she broke sharply and held sway over rival Paint Me Ivory. Ud Baby previously ran second in a maiden at Energy Downs on May 17, rallying gamely in her debut. She will be ridden again by Brayan Juarez.

The second choice on the morning line at 4-1 is Sixs Cb Blakely, who will start from post eight. Owned and bred by Broken Bones Cattle Company, the filly is trained by Jesse Villegas and will be piloted by Luis Peralta.

Sired by Sixs Charlie Brown and out of the Eyesa Special Slim mare Eyesa Special Beddy, she looked sharp winning her trial in 15.411(98 SI), finishing ahead of both In the Vee and My Dynasty while posting her best career mark. She has lit the board in all three career starts, including a Futurity Consolation, showing consistency and heart throughout the Mountain States racing circuit.

Third choice Paint Me Ivory (9-2) also brings impressive credentials, finishing second to Ud Baby in the same June 7 trial. The gelded son of Jess Paint Me out of Sheza Lady James by Ivory James is owned and bred by Robert B. Fox.

Trainer Martha Maldonado will again leg up jockey Minor Arana, who guided him to his maiden win in his May 17 debut. In two starts, Paint Me Ivory has finished no worse than second, and his 96 speed index in the trial gives him for fastest overall.

This 300-yard dash showcases a strong group of Wyoming-bred juveniles with proven speed and upside potential. Each finalist qualified via trials held June 7, setting up a competitive and lucrative feature at Energy Downs.
