VINTON, LA.–AUGUST 28, 2025–Saturday night at Delta Downs promises high-caliber action with seven stakes races showcasing some of Louisiana’s best Quarter Horses. The highlight of the evening is the (RG1) $534,640-added LQHBA Sale Futurity Finals, featuring the ten fastest qualifiers from the August 9th trial heats.

Contenders had to pass through the LQHBA Yearling Sale ring as 2023 foals and qualify through the trials to be eligible. These ten finalists now aim for one of the richest purses of the season in the 350-yard championship.

The (4-5) morning-line favorite, Rf Fast Dash N Blood, headlines the field following a commanding trial victory. The gelding boasts earnings of $482,401 from seven starts, with five wins, including the (G2) $269,000 Louisiana Bred Laddie Futurity in May and the (RG1) $598,000 Lee Berwick Memorial Futurity in July.

Jaime Cardenas purchased the son of Apollitical Blood for $80,000 at the LQHBA Yearling Sale. Rogers Farm bred Rf Fast Dash N Blood out of Fast Dash N Deby, by Heza Fast Dash. Miguel Castillo trains him and will break from post three with Jorge J. Garcia aboard.

Second choice is Luziana Man (9-2), who finished as runner-up to Rf Fast Dash N Blood twice this season, including in both futurities mentioned above. The gelding has never placed worse than second in six lifetime starts, earning $171,539 for owners Rosalio Espinosa and Jerry Deville, Jr., who purchased him for only $13,500 at the LQHBA Yearling Sale.

Bred by Jerry West, Luziana Man is sired by Dominyun out of Jewels Fortune, by First Down Jewel. Trained by Jose R. Espinosa, he will leave from post eight under regular rider Noé Castaneda.
