SUNLAND PARK, NM–FEBRUARY 11, 2026
Sunland Park’s Presidents Day program on Monday, February 16, will kick off at 1:15 PM with an eight-race card highlighted by the $32,800 Allred Brothers Stakes. The feature event brings together ten of the highest-earning three-year-olds and older for a fast-paced 350-yard dash scheduled as the afternoon’s second race at approximately 1:40 PM.

Jes Relentless enters the race as the 3-1 morning-line favorite as the four-year-old mare looks to extend her current winning streak to three consecutive victories. She closed out her 2025 campaign in strong fashion with a victory in the $28,000 Mike Hastings Memorial Stakes and opened the new season with another score in optional claiming company.

Now a five-time winner, Jes Relentless has earned $62,238 for owners Heber Deyta-Melendez and Maria Deleon, who secured the mare for $19,000 at the Heritage Place Sale. Bred in Louisiana by Eddie Cramer, Tom Maher, or Bill Maher, she is sired by Hes Relentless and out of Jess All That by Corona Cartel.

Deyta-Melendez also serves as trainer, and the mare will break from post seven with Brian C. Barraza returning in the irons as she seeks another stakes-level triumph.

Shiny Nova draws strong attention as the 4-1 morning-line second choice and also enters in sharp form after back-to-back victories against optional claiming competition. The seasoned gelding has compiled an impressive career record, winning eleven races while banking $121,539 for breeder and owner J. P. Sample.

The homebred is sired by Racy Casanova and out of Alltheshine by First to Shine. Conditioned by Matthew M. Fales, Shiny Nova will start from post nine with Gabriel Medrano named to ride.

With several in-form veterans lining up, the $32,800 Allred Brothers Stakes promises to deliver an exciting early highlight on Sunland Park’s Presidents Day card as ten accomplished runners sprint 350 yards in pursuit of stakes honors.

The Turf Paradise races can be watched on Q-Racing Video.
