OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–May 7, 2026Two hundred and thirty-two juveniles will compete throughout thirteen trial heats on Thursday and Friday night for the 46th Running of the Grade 1, $1,158,940 Heritage Place Futurity at Remington Park. With 116 juveniles scheduled to compete each night, the pressure will be immense, as only the five fastest qualifiers from each evening will advance to the rich futurity final. The second five fastest times from each night will return in the $100,000-added Heritage Place Juvenile.

The Heritage Place Futurity annually showcases the sport’s elite two-year-olds, and this year’s renewal once again delivers a lineup packed with talented juveniles, powerhouse connections, and high-priced yearling purchases all chasing a spot on Oklahoma’s richest stage.

The opening trial heat features one of the evening’s standout runners as Fall Classic enters as the 9-5 morning line favorite. The gelding turned heads in his debut performance on March 22nd when he powered away in a 300-yard maiden event to win by one and one-quarter lengths impressively. The juvenile remains undefeated after his debut victory while earning $13,440 for owner Christopher A. Villatoro, who purchased the prospect for $47,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Sired by Cyber Monday and out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Lady Bellaqua, Fall Classic was bred in Missouri by Jim Streelman or Bill Dale. Trainer James J. Gonzales III will send the gelding into the opening heat from post position three with Christian Cardenas retaining the mount.

Later on the card in the eighth race, Konklusiv enters as one of the most talked-about juveniles of the night. The Bobby D. Cox Texas homebred gelding is listed as the 4-1 morning line favorite after an eye-catching debut score on March 19th. Breaking from the outside post in his first career start, Konklusiv showed determination late to secure victory by a quarter of a length while flashing one of the fastest efforts seen from the crop so far this meet.

Jess Different sires Konklusiv out of the Corona Cartel mare All N the Jeans. Trainer Juan L. Vazquez has the gelding prepared to break from post three with jockey James A. Flores aboard.

The thirteenth and final trial of the evening will spotlight Cowboy Eckspress, who enters as the 4-1 morning line favorite after already generating buzz throughout the meet. The filly first gained attention during the schooling races before encountering trouble in the Oklahoma Futurity trials. She returned in maiden company and delivered a strong third-place finish after battling throughout while clearly separating herself from the remainder of the field.

Cowboy Eckspress is sired by Flying Cowboy 123 and out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Girl Paint. The Oklahoma-bred filly was bred by Carl O. Eck and races for Regina Laymon, who purchased her for $55,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale. Trainer Victor Ibarra will saddle the filly from post position two with Jesus R. Ayala named to ride.

The Heritage Place Futurity trials will also mark the beginning of the final stretch of the 2026 Remington Park season, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated closing weekends in Oklahoma racing. The futurity final, worth $1,158,940, will headline the final night of the Remington Park meet as the nation’s top juveniles battle for one of Quarter Horse racing’s most prestigious titles.

The races at Remington Park can be watched on Q-Racing Video.
