OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–May 8, 2026—Mother’s Day evening at Remington Park will deliver one of the most anticipated programs of the season as sixty-six sophomore fillies prepare to battle throughout seven trial heats for a spot in the finals of the 5th running of the Grade 2 $373,800 Heritage Place Oaks.
The 12-race card is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM, with races four through ten featuring the 400-yard trial heats beginning at approximately 5:21 PM. By the end of the evening, only the ten fastest qualifiers will secure their place in the lucrative Heritage Place Oaks finale, setting the stage for a thrilling night of elite Quarter Horse racing.
One of the standout names on the card is Amarillis, who headlines the ninth race and sixth trial heat as the 5-1 morning line favorite. The talented Oklahoma-bred filly enters the trials off a dominant victory in the RG3 $183,000 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Oaks on April 18th. She also enjoyed a stellar juvenile campaign, highlighted by her victory in the Grade 3 $512,000 Black Gold Fillies Futurity Championship.
Owned by Dusty Rose Ranch, LLC, Amarillis has earned $309,988 from ten career starts and continues to establish herself as one of the top sophomore fillies in the region. The daughter of Favorite Cartel out of the Dominyun mare Astranomical was bred in Oklahoma by M. C. Stucks. Trainer Stacey L. Capps will saddle the filly from post four with jockey Cody R. Smith aboard as they look to secure another major stake appearance.
The opening trial heat could feature one of the nation’s most accomplished three-year-old fillies as Toby Sis ships in from Los Alamitos Race Course to begin her sophomore season. Installed as the even-money morning line favorite, Toby Sis closed out her two-year-old campaign with a sensational victory in the Grade 1 Los Alamitos 2 Million Futurity.
The California-bred filly has compiled an outstanding record of five wins and one runner-up finish from six career starts while banking $856,157 in earnings. Her lone defeat came in the Grade 2 PCQHRA Breeders Futurity, where she finished second. Sired by Favorite Cartel out of the Walk Thru Fire mare London Laura, Toby Sis was bred by Edward C. Allred and races for Valeriano Racing Stables, LLC. Trainer Jesus Nunez sends her out from post four with leading jockey Francisco Calderon in the irons.
With proven Grade 1 winners, state-bred stars, and nationally accomplished fillies all chasing a berth in the Heritage Place Oaks finals, Sunday night promises high drama and explosive performances under the lights at Remington Park. Fans and bettors alike are set for an unforgettable Mother’s Day showcase as the road to the Grade 2 Heritage Place Oaks reaches a thrilling new chapter.
