POCATELLO, ID–May 14, 2026Sunday afternoon at Pocatello Downs promises a fun-filled day of racing as the eight-race card shines the spotlight on the young Paint and Appaloosa runners competing in two divisions of the $5,000 Pocatello Downs Paint and Appaloosa Futurity. Each futurity division will feature five two-year-olds dashing 300 yards, giving fans an early look at some of the sport’s rising stars.

The opening race of the afternoon will kick off the excitement at approximately 1:00 PM with the first division of the futurity. Leading the field as the 8-5 morning-line favorite is Bg Dream Crusher, a filly preparing to make her career debut after showing encouraging signs during morning preparations. The youngster has posted two workouts, including gate breezes, as connections hope for a smooth and impressive first outing.

The daughter of Uncle D (QH) is out of the Lotta Loot (TB) mare Br Pleasure and was bred in Idaho by Becky Grant. She races for owner-trainer Bryan Grant, with jockey Eric Ayala named to ride from post position three.

The action continues in race three with the second division of the $5,000 Pocatello Downs Paint and Appaloosa Futurity, scheduled to load into the gate at approximately 2:00 PM. Pevs Ima Lazajane enters the field as the 2-1 morning-line favorite after posting a pair of consistent gate works leading into her debut performance.

Owned by Eddie Jensen, the filly was purchased for $10,000 at the Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale. The daughter of Phq Apollitical Jess is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Ima Pyc China Doll and was bred in Oklahoma by Gordon or Jackie Pevehouse. Trainer Tony Hyde will saddle the filly from post three with Tyson Lusk aboard.

These ten young Paint and Appaloosa juveniles are set to bring plenty of energy and excitement to the Sunday program as they begin their racing careers under the bright spotlight of futurity competition. Fans at Pocatello Downs can expect a fun afternoon filled with fresh talent, quick bursts of speed, and memorable moments as the next generation takes center stage.
