TULSA, OK–JULY 14, 2026– After severe weather forced the cancellation of races three through ten last Saturday, Fair Meadows will officially conclude its summer meet on Sunday, July 19. However, the marquee stakes program remains intact on Saturday evening, with fans treated to a spectacular night of Quarter Horse, Paint, and Appaloosa racing. The 10-race card begins at 6:00 p.m. and features seven stakes events, highlighted by the Grade 3 $85,000-added Speedhorse Quarter Horse Futurity, the $25,000-added Speedhorse Quarter Horse Derby, and the Grade 1 $40,000-added Speedhorse Paint and Appaloosa Futurity. Also featured are the $25,000 Cherokee Nation Stakes, $25,000 Rocky Heinzig Stakes, Grade 2 $20,000 Masterpiece Derby, and the $20,000 Speedhorse Paint and Appaloosa Juvenile Stakes, making it one of the strongest programs of the Fair Meadows season.
The eighth race brings together a competitive field of ten 2-year-olds in the $25,000 Cherokee Nation Stakes, scheduled for approximately 8:55 p.m. and run over 350 yards.
Royal Bloodline has been installed as the 7-2 morning-line favorite following an impressive victory in the Fair Meadows Juvenile Stakes, where he broke sharply and drew away to win by one length. The gelding has raced three times, including a maiden victory earlier in the Fair Meadows meet, and has earned $26,429 for owner Julio Contreras, who purchased him for $26,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale.
The Oklahoma-bred son of FDD Dynasty is out of the Corona Cartel mare Royal Wicked Witch and was bred by Jose M. Mendoza. Samuel E. Valdivia trains the promising juvenile, who will break from the outside post ten with Roman Cruz aboard.
The seventh race features the $25,000 Rocky Heinzig Stakes, with a field of ten 3-year-olds and older sprinting 350 yards at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Js Freightrain enters as the 7-5 morning-line favorite after another consistent campaign. The four-year-old mare opened her season with a fourth-place finish in the Grade 2 Eastex Stakes, then returned to win the Grade 2 Easy Date Stakes. A seven-time winner in 14 career starts, she has earned $258,907.
Owned by Marisol Alvarado, the Oklahoma-bred daughter of Freighttrain B is out of the Apollitical Jess mare As and Js. Bred by her trainer, Leonardo Alcala, she will break from post three with Juan Pulido in the irons.
The stakes action kicks off in the fourth race with the Grade 2 $20,000 Masterpiece Derby, where six 3-year-old Paints and Appaloosas will run 350 yards at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Cuz Eyema Cowboy Baby heads the field as the 2-1 morning-line favorite after winning the Grade 1 Speedhorse Graham Paint and Appaloosa Stakes. The gelding has compiled an outstanding record of five wins and four runner-up finishes in 12 career starts, earning $88,526.
The Oklahoma homebred races for breeders and owners Gary and Charity Hensley. The son of Flying Cowboy 123 is out of the CRM Livewire mare Cuz Eyema Livewire and is trained by Jesus Ruben Ruiz. He will break from post three, with Rolando Raudales aboard.
The fifth race features the $20,000 Speedhorse Paint and Appaloosa Juvenile Stakes, in which ten 2-year-olds who narrowly missed qualifying for the futurity final will race 350 yards at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Dulce Dinero has been named the 5-2 morning-line favorite after stumbling at the start of his trial but rallying to finish second, just a neck behind. Earlier this season, he finished third in the Grade 1 Speedhorse Graham Paint and Appaloosa Futurity and has compiled two wins, two seconds, and one third from six starts, earning $46,645.
The Oklahoma homebred races for Shari Burger and Vickie McBee. The son of Dulce Sin Tacha is out of the Gitter Dun Turnpike mare WF Gitter Dun Chick and is trained by Jesus Ruben Ruiz. He will break from the rail with Mario Delgado aboard.
With championship-caliber fields assembled for seven stakes races, Saturday's program promises an outstanding showcase of the region's top Quarter Horses, Paints, and Appaloosas.
