A group of high-quality stakes races will be offered, including the $75,000-est. John Deeråçe Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge (G3), $50,000-est. Adequan® Ruidoso Derby Challenge and $30,000-est. Q-Racing Video Distaff Challenge.

The winners of these races will be offered a berth into their respective championship races at the Bank of America Challenge Championships at Horseshoe Indianapolis on October 22, during a race card that will offer nearly $1 million in purses.

In between races, different demonstrations will be held. The American Quarter Horse is a breed that has not only speed, but also the mind and physical talent to perform any task asked of it. Much like the people who developed it, the Quarter Horse is hard-working, willing and versatile, which is part of what makes it the most popular horse breed on earth. The events being demonstrated are common jobs open to former racehorses once they retire from racing.

Among the riders who will be providing demonstrations are New Mexico western performance trainer Josh Armstrong; PRCA barrel racing competitor Jymmy Kay Cox; and Madison Gay Giles, who will be performing a jumping demonstration. Retired jockeys G.R. Carter Jr. and Casey Lambert will partner to do a team roping demonstration.
