ELGIN, TX–MARCH 16, 2023–Nominations for the $75,000 Added Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG3) and the $50,000 Added Sires’ Cup Derby are due Saturday, April 15. Both races will be run at Retama Park. 

Futurity trials will be run August 4, 2023, and derby trials are set August 6, 2023. The finals for both races will run back on August 19.

These races are for foals of the stallions that have participated in the TQHA Stallion Auctions of 2019, 2020 and 2023. CLICK HERE for nominaiton forms.

2023 TQHA Sires Cup Futurity & Derby Payment Schedule:

> To nominate April 15 $350
> To sustain May 15: $350 or $1,000 Late payment
> To Sustain June 16: $350 or $2,000 Late payment
> At Time of Entry: $500 paid to Retama Park or $5,000
   (plus all fees to supplement).

CLICK HERE for a PRELIMINARY list of stallions that have foals that are eligible.  The list is self-explanatory. 

If the sire of your foal is listed under either the blue or green columns your horse is eligible for the Futurity. If the sire of your horse is listed under either the blue or purple columns your horse is eligible for the Derby.  The list is three pages so be sure you look at all the pages.

"There are still a handful of stallions that did not sell that can be bought back by the donor to make their foals eligible for the races so this list may change as we get closer to the nomination deadline," Scott Sherwood, TQHA Director Racing says. " I will update the list on our website at www.tqha.com as often as there are changes."
