All-time leading jockey G.R. Carter, Jr. will become the sixth jockey inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame in Amarillo, Texas.

DALLAS, TX—SEPTEMBER 14, 2023—On the cusp of his upcoming induction into the AQHA Hall of Fame in Amarillo, Texas this weekend to become only the sixth-jockey in Quarter Horse racing history to receive this distinction, all-time leading jockey G.R. Carter, Jr. is the focus of episode 36 of the QH Racing Talk podcast as Carter discusses multiple-facets of his illustrious career on StallioneSearch.com.

The record-holding, 10-time AQHA World Champion jockey talks with Greg Thompson of StallioneSearch.com about his career that spanned over 35-years and saw him achieve heights that no other jockey besides him has reached. 

According to AQHA records, Carter ended his career with the all-time record for wins (4,013), starts (25,700), lifetime earnings ($75,900,474), and stakes wins (386).  

A two-time winner of the All American Futurity(G1) with wins aboard Falling In Loveagain and Stolis Winner,  Carter was also able to ride such greats of the sport, such as: Be A Bono, Flash And Roll, FDD Dynasty, First Place Queen, Dashin Is Easy, Bigg Daddy, Valiant Hero, Ongoing Ta Fame, Heza Ramblin Man, Llano Teller, Country Chicks Man, First Valiant Sign, Kiss My Hocks, Louisiana Senator, etc.   Carter also hold the distinction as the all-time leading rider in Paints and Appaloosa racing as well.

A native of Oklahoma,  Carter retired from the saddle in 2018, culminating with a win in the Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity(G1) aboard Flash And Roll to end his career. 

An active businessman in the oil and gas industry,  Carter also has served on the AQHA Racing Committee as chairman, and currently serves on the AQHA Racing Council for the betterment of the sport of Quarter Horse racing.
