M. Heath Taylor-trained Chasing Aj was going into the 440-yard stakes event after a runner-up finish in the All American Derby(G1) in September.

The son leading sire Apollitical Jess, racing for the partnership of Steve Holt, Charles Cox, Jack Powers and Roger Moore, finally got is Grade 1 victory after participating in five previous Grade 1 races that included second in the All American Derby(G1) and third in the All American Futurity(G1) and Rainbow QH Derby(G1).

He has won or placed in 12 of 15 career starts and earned $907,689.
