A medication violation records updates have been made on Equibase for a stakes race held in Texas.

DALLAS, TX—FEBRUARY 6, 2023—A recent ruling filed by the Texas Racing Commission for 2023 Stakes races that required a disqualification due to a medication positive.

COPPER PIPES has been disqualified from 2nd place in the TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity race held on August 19, 2023, due to a medication violation for Albuterol, a Class 3/A substance.  J B Morace was the trainer.

Sammy Joe, a Hawkeye gelding owned by Javier Arturo Castro has moved to second-place and Lefty, a This Is An Eagle gelding owned by Francisco Guadalupe Guerrero was placed third.  

Completing the order of finish were Kas Tuff Lbh, Cr Dmj Policy, Muddy Hits The Mark, Fire Hot V, Jmg One Hold Eagle, Grand Hercules and Copper Pipes.

Equibase has received the rulings and updated their records.
