First post for Saturday's Mardi Gras Futurity races at Louisiana Downs has been moved to 8:30 a.m. (CST).

First Post Pushed Up For 8:30 AM Start For Mardi Gras Schooling Races On Saturday

BOOSIER CITY, LA–FEBRUARY 8, 2024–State-bred juveniles take the spotlight Saturday at Louisiana Downs (see related story) when 101 two-year-olds will compete in 16 schooling races. 

Due To Expected Weather Conditions On Saturday, first post has changed to 8:30 a.m. (CST). Friday's schooling races for the Louisiana Downs Open Futurity will remain 11:00 a.m.

All participants are eligible to make the final payment to the March 8 and 9 trials for the Mardi Gras Futurity. The $600,000-est. restricted Grade 2 300 yard final will be contested on March 30.
