GIDDINGS, TX–SEPTEMBER 23, 2024–It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia Ann Zoch announce her passing on the evening of August 23, 2024, after a blessed life.
Cynthia Ann (Milford) Zoch was born on October 19, 1948, in Pasadena, Texas, the daughter of Charles Edward Milford and Audrey Martha (Riefschnider) Milford. She was united in marriage to Robert Martin Zoch Jr. on December 14, 1974, in Houston, Texas.
Cynthia was a certified Licensed Vocational Nurse, a mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, a lover of all animals (rumor has it she loved animals more than humans), and a successfully recognized Texas Quarter Horse Association and American Quarter Horse Association racehorse breeder.
Cynthia also had an accomplished racehorse program that received many awards and accolades, recognizing her intuitive sense of horsemanship.
She bred runners who earned over $1.1 million, led by Grade 1-placed runner Jess Rapid ($300,138).
Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, practicing photography, reading, and teaching anyone she could about every type of bird. While these are just cliff notes of Cynthia's life, her legacy and the memories she made with family and friends will take refuge within the hearts of those she touched for eternity.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Martin Zoch, Jr.; her parents, Charles Edward Milford and Audrey Martha (Riefschnider) Milford; grandson, Robert Martin Zoch IV, and brother, Charles Wayne Milford.
Cynthia is survived by one daughter, Jennifer and husband Michael Selewach of Lincoln; three sons, Robert III and wife Sherry Zoch of Lincoln, Garrett Zoch of Lincoln, and David Zoch Sr. of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Brandy Zoch of Giddings, Jacob and wife Meredyth Zoch of Lincoln, Keith Zoch of Elgin, Cynthia and husband Aaron Ramirez of Lincoln, and David Jr. and wife Caitlyn Zoch of Giddings; eight great-grandchildren, Lillian Zoch Marlow of Austin, Keaton Ramirez of Lincoln, Conner Zoch of Giddings, Carter Zoch of Lincoln, Merritt Zoch of Lincoln, Lennox Zoch of Giddings, Lincoln Ramirez of Lincoln, Elsie Zoch of Giddings, and her beloved Chihuahua "Tina," as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln or a charity of one's choice.
