Pattys Saint Punches Ticket For Albuquerque With Idaho Distaff Challenge Win

POCATELLO, ID—SEPTEMBER 25, 2022 —Pattys Saint, a multiple stakes winning daughter of Jess Got Easier, defeated older mares by one-length today to win the $31,600 Q-Racing Video Idaho Distaff Challenge at Pocatello Downs.

Under jockey Jesus Virgen, Pattys Saint completed the 400 yards in :19.631 seconds, equaling a 105 speed index into a 3 mph crosswind. She defeated Fdd Swingin Dynasty by one-length.

Heath Hillman trains the Idaho homebred for owner-breeder Robert Harrison. The 3-year-old filly out of Sp Saint Patty by Saint Shackleton entered the Distaff off a win in the Oneida County Mixed Breed Derby last month. She has won eight of 12 career starts and the $14,852 Distaff winner's purse today pushed her earnings mark past $69,000.

The win also earned Pattys Saint a starting spot in the $100,000-est. Q-Racing Video Distaff Challenge Championship(G1) to be contested October 23rd during the Bank of America Challenge Championships at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Multiple stakes winner Fdd Swingin Dynasty earned $6,320 for second. Scott Warr trains the daughter of world champion sire FDD Dynasty for owner Darian Burt. Jerry Windham bred the $70,163 earner in Utah from the Shazoom mare Jess A Swingin. Nick Newbold was riding.

Duck Dash N Go, a multiple stakes winning daughter of Coronas Fast Dash, finished a neck back in third for owner Lex Fabrizio. Monty Arrossa trains the 7-year-old mare and Jesus Canales had the riding call. Bobby D. Cox bred the $163,749 earner in Oklahoma from the Tour de Kas mare Duck Mea Running.

No One Fights Alone, Her Apolitical Pyc, Volcums Hot Candy, Rtm Good Enough and Oh Mi Honey completed the field. Blew Bye You was scratched.
