SHELBYVILLE, IN–SEPTEMBER 2, 2022–
Extermynator, a stakes-winning son of champion Tres Seis owned by Gordon L. Timm, is one of a dozen 2-year-olds entered in Saturday's 350-yard John Deere Horseshoe Indianapolis Juvenile Challenge trials.

Extermynator is trained by Randy Smith, Horseshoe Indianapolis' perennial leading Quarter Horse trainer. A $55,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, the brown gelding will be stretching out in distance off of his three-quarter length victory in the 300-yard, $145,000 Heartland Futurity.

Extermynator drew post 4 and will be ridden by Juan D. Marquez in the second of two trials.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $30,000-added final on September 22.
