OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MARCH 15, 2024–
Four graded stakes will headline Saturday's 12-race program at Remington Park. Post time for the first of a dozen races is set for 6 p.m. (CDT).

Two of the stakes -- the SLM Big Daddy Stakes (G3) and Mighty Deck Three Stakes (RG2) -- are postponed from last week. Run at 550-yards for a purse of $50,000, the SLM Big Daddy drew a field of 10 middle-distance specialists, led by Im No Lawyer Butt.

A sorrel 4-year-old One Famous Eagle gelding trained by Mike Joiner for owners Scott and Jamie Bryant, Im No Lawyer Butt will be making his first start since November 18, when the ran third, three-quarters of a length behind winner Chasing AJ, in the 440-yard, $479,000 Texas Classic Derby (G1) at Lone Star Park.

Im No Lawyer Butt won two of his three outs during the Lone Star fall meet, including a 550-yard allowance race on September 23. The gelding drew post 4 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.

The Mighty Deck Three is run at 250 yards for a purse of $68,000. The field of nine Oklahoma-bred aged sprinters is led by Jose Cervantes Jr.'s JC Black Mamba, a homebred 4-year-old Ivory James mare who will be shortening in distance off of her neck victory in the November 19, 350-yard Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Derby (R) for state-bred sophomores at Will Rogers Downs.

JC Black Mamba drew post 4 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa for trainer Toby Keeton.

Brant Barley's Head Patron will be looking to defend his title in Saturday's 350-yard, $50,000 Eastex Stakes (G2).

A homebred 5-year-old son of Zoomin For Bux trained by Casey Black, Head Patron scored a half-length victory in last year's Eastex Stakes, and he also ran third, one length behind winner and eventual 2023 world champion Danjer, in the 400-yard, $100,000 Leo Stakes (G1) at Remington Park. The gelding will be making his season debut from post 7 and will be ridden by James Flores.

Other Eastex contenders include Konnan Cartel, a homebred 4-year-old Five Bar Cartel gelding trained by Juan Diaz Jr. for owner Dania Castellanos. Konnan Cartel will be making his first lifetime start at Remington Park, but the gelding is coming off of a stellar sophomore campaign during which he won three stakes in Louisiana and Texas, including the October 7, $176,000 Dash For Cash Derby (G2) at Lone Star Park.

Konnan Cartel drew post 8 and will be ridden by Manuel Gutierrez.

A field of 10 distaffers is entered in Saturday's 350-yard, $50,000 Decketta Stakes (G2).

Tom Maher's Fox News will be making her 4-year-old season debut in the Decketta. A 4-year-old daughter of champion FDD Dynasty trained by Jason Olmstead, the mare ended her 3-year-old season with a three-quarter length win in the 400-yard, $155,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G3) at Lone Star Park on October 21.

Fox News drew post 9 and will be ridden by Edwin Escobedo.
