VILLE PLATTE, LA—MARCH 1, 2020—Grade 2 stakes winner and first-crop sire Ivan James SI 104 has will stand the 2020 season at Tate Farms, near Ville Platte, Louisiana. The son of champion sire Ivory James will stand for a fee of $2,000 with consideration.

Owned by Rickey Thompson, Ivan James won the Grade 2 Sam Houston Futurity at two and the Firecracker Derby and Evangeline Downs Derby at 3. He has won or placed in nine of 10 career starts and earned $481,562. Ivan James was also third in the Grade 2 Firecracker Futurity and a finalist in the Grade 3 Sam Houston Derby. He was bred-and raced by Jorge Meraz.

Ivan James got his first two stakes qualifiers today (March 1) in the Grade 3 $283,210 Harrah's Entertainment Futurity at Louisiana Downs. Trainer Jose Sanchez III saddled Magical Ivanna to the 5th fastest tie and Roma to the 7th fastest time.

The Harrah's Entertainment Futurity(G3) final will be contested on Wednesday, March 18th.
