RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—APRIL 6, 2018— A new receiving barn, on the stable-area side of the tunnel that goes from the barn area to the infield and the saddling paddock at Ruidoso Downs, is near completion.

As part of the increased security and dedication to racing integrity at Ruidoso Downs, horses will arrive at the receiving barn about 45 minutes before they race. They will be under an official’s watchful eye.

The season starts on May 25 with the first of two days of trials to the $1-million (est.) Ruidoso Futurity.
