OKLAOMA CITY, OK–JUNE 6, 2023–Stuart Phillip Barringer, 76, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died May 31, 2023, peacefully at home.
Stuart’s life will be celebrated with funeral services at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 6, 2023) at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Viewing will be from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Stuart was born on February 21, 1947, to Rosco and Edith Faye Barringer in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He completed high school and even went on to do some college. He married the love of his life, Wanda Sue Speegle on December 1, 1973. They went on to have three children: Curtis, Gina, and Susan.
In his younger years, he enjoyed rodeoing. Bull dogging was his main event. He later went on to sell equine insurance before jumping into working horse auction sales, which truly became his passion.
Stuart is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Barringer; children, Curtis Speegle, Gina Doescher and husband, Jody, Susan Crosby; grandchildren, Lindsey, Cody, Sage, Shayne; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Tristian, Evelonn, Celesta, Yazzy, Estrella, Braylyn, Paizley, Rance, Holten; great-great-grandchild, Israel; brothers, Ronnie Barringer and Roger Barringer.
Stuart is preceded in death by his parents; one brother.
Stuart was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family and was a man that touched many lives. Go rest high, Stuart.
