Fair Meadows will not race June 23, 24, 25 due to caution and safety for horses and horsemen following a major storm causing substantial damages in Tulsa last weekend.

TULSA, OK–JUNE 21, 2023–Tulsa experienced an unprecedented storm this past Saturday with straight line winds of 100 miles an hour.

Tulsa and the Expo Center sustained a substantial amount of damage and the power is out to a majority of the city. Electricity is coming back on but the racetrack is still experiencing a loss of power.

"In an abundance of caution and for the safety of the horses and horsemen, we are not going to be racing for the rest of the week at Fair Meadows at Tulsa; June 23rd, 24th, & 25th," OQHRA Executive Director Krissy Bamberg said..

Entries will still be taken on Saturday and Sunday for next week.

The track will be open for training in the mornings.
