AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—The Jay Pumphrey Cowboy Classic Golf Tournament has a long history with the racing industry, and it returns for the 43d annual event on August 30 in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Hosted at The Links at Sierra Blanca, the event will benefit the Jay Pumphrey Scholarship Fund through the American Quarter Horse Foundation. The purpose of the event is to promote fellowship among American Quarter Horse racing enthusiasts, providing an opportunity for old friends and horsemen to get together and to introduce new people into the industry.

The four-person scramble will have a noon shotgun start. Mixed teams are allowed. Entry of $190 includes green fees, cart, range balls, two complimentary beverages, prizes for all levels of players, dinner and an auction.
