Undefeated Dark NME Headlines Monday's Grade 1, $3-Million All American Futurity

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–SEPTEMBER 1, 2023–Dark NME, an undefeated daughter of champion Hes Relentless racing for TYKHE Racing LLC, will put her perfect record on the line in American Quarter Horse racing's richest and most prestigious race, Monday's 440-yard, $3-million All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs Race Track & Casino.

The fastest overall qualifier from 32 trials run August 11 and 12, Dark NME was an $65,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. The filly has earned $775,062 from six starts in New Mexico and Oklahoma, and her six wins include the 330-yard, $804,000 Remington Park Futurity (RG1) for Oklahoma-breds on April 22, and the 400-yard, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1) on July 16.

Dark NME drew post 2 and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon for trainer Santos Carrizales Jr.

Carrizales will also send out Trane Station V, a son of Favorite Cartel purchased by owner Valeriano Racing Stables for $130,000 at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Trane Station V has banked $154,000 from four outs, and he ran second, 3 1/2 lengths behind Dark NME, in the Rainbow Futurity.

Trane Station V drew post 10 and will be ridden by Everardo Rodriguez.

Cowboys Gun Z, the fastest qualifier from the second day of trials, is coming off of a one-length win in his trial. A $125,000 buy at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, the gelded son of Flying Cowboy 123 is trained by Mike Joiner for owner West Texas Racing Partners.

Cowboys Gun Z drew post 9 and will be ridden by Agustin Silva.
