Texas trainer Luis Delgado passed away on October 5, 2023.

SAN ANTONIO, TX–OCTOBER 17, 2023–Luis Delgado, 74, entered into rest on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on October 19, 1948.

In his own name, he trained the earners of more than $529,000. His most accomplished runner was Ebrima, a daughter of Captain Courage who earned $144,125 in her career, including finishing second in the 2017 $435,680 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG2).

The visitation was held on October 11at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on October 12, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Services concluded after the mass.
