$1,000 Purse Increase for Quarter Horse, Paint, and Appaloosa Races at 2024 Fair Meadows Tulsa

TULSA, OK–JUNE 19, 2024–The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) is pleased to announce a $1,000 purse increase for Quarter Horse, Paint, and Appaloosa races at the 2024 Fair Meadows Tulsa meet.

This increase will take effect on Saturday, June 22, and continue through the meet's end.

The Fair Meadows race meet is a vital component of the horse racing industry in Oklahoma. Without Fair Meadows and the income generated from the Tulsa Area Tribal Purse Fund, racing in Oklahoma as a whole would suffer. The horsemen supporting racing at Fair Meadows by participating in this meet are crucial to the future of racing at all Oklahoma tracks.

Additionally, we are pleased to update you on the progress at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Oklahoma, following the devastating tornadoes this spring. The rebuild is well underway, and current plans have the casino reopening about August 1. Racing will resume as scheduled on September 9.

More information regarding stall application deadlines and racing details will be provided later.
