OQHRA announced its upcoming Annual Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet, celebrating the achievements and extraordinary contributions to the world of Quarter Horse racing.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–JANUARY 21, 2025–The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) is proud to announce the upcoming Annual Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet, celebrating the achievements and extraordinary contributions to the world of Quarter Horse racing.

The event will occur on February 22, 2025, at the Grand Casino Hotel and Resort in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

This year’s banquet marks a significant milestone as OQHRA inducts a stellar class into the Hall of Fame, honoring those whose dedication and excellence have left a lifelong impact on the sport. The 2024 Hall of Fame inductees include:

Randy Wilson: Celebrated for his outstanding contributions as jockey, trainer, and horseman.

Ronald Mason: A trailblazer who not only can be credited for the foundation Quarter Horses of the past, but he was also influential in the formation of the American Quarter Horse Association and an avid member during the early years of Oklahoma racing.

PV Quarter Horse Farms: Renowned for its exceptional breeding program, producing champions that have defined the sport.

Dashing Follies: An extraordinary mare whose lineage and racing legacy have set benchmarks in the industry.

DM Schicago: A remarkable competitor whose achievements have captivated fans and set records on the track.

The prestigious Debbie Schauf Spirit Award will also be presented to Jeff Tebow. This award recognizes an individual who embodies the spirit of generosity, commitment, and passion that Debbie Schauf exemplified throughout her life. Jeff Tebow’s unwavering dedication to the Quarter Horse racing community and his exemplary leadership make him deserving of this honor.

The banquet will also recognize the 2024 Racing Champions of the American Paint Horse Association, The Appaloosa Horse Club, The American Quarter Horse Regional Racing Champions, The OHRC Oklahoma Bred Year End Champions, as well as the meet champions from each Oklahoma racetrack.

Due to the many purses across the country that the respective racing commissions are holding, the OQHRA board of directors has voted to postpone the recognition of the OQHRA Year End Awards. These awards recognize horses that were foaled in Oklahoma or owned by an Oklahoman. They are based on earnings throughout the country, not just in Oklahoma; therefore, some pending races could affect the final award winners. Those winners will be announced as soon as possible.
