ALTOONA, IA—FEBRUARY 4, 2025—The Racing Office at Prairie Meadows is pleased to announce to all Quarter Horse owners and trainers that our 2025 Quarter Horse Racing information is now available on our website.

This information includes the following:

•  2025 Prairie Meadows Live Racing Calendar
•  2025 Prairie Meadows Quarter Horse Stakes Schedule
•  2025 Horse Health Requirements and Quarter Horse Hair
   Testing Protocols
•  2025 Prairie Meadows/IQHRA Futurity and Derby Nomination
   Forms and IQHRA 2025 Membership Form

March 1 is the deadline to begin nominating your horses to the $200,000-est. Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity for open 2-year-olds going 350 yards with trials scheduled for Monday, June 16, and the final on Sunday, July 6.

March 1 is the deadline to begin nominating your horses to the $100,000-est. Prairie Meadows Gold Derby for open 3-year-olds going 350 yards with trials scheduled for Monday, June 23, and the final on Sunday, July 13.

Please note we will continue the requirement that Quarter Horse Finalists be stabled on grounds. Read the full requirement listed in the General Conditions on the back of each nomination form or the Iowa Quarter Horse Hair Testing Protocols information sheet.
