OQHRA reminds owners about the importance of obtaining your racing license early.

EDMOND, OK–MARCH 19, 2025–The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) would like to remind owners about the importance of obtaining your racing license early.

Due to recent changes and staffing adjustments, there’s a bit of a backlog in the licensing process. Waiting until race day could lead to delays or, in the worst case, your horse being scratched.

If you’re planning to race in Oklahoma, we encourage you to apply for your license as soon as possible to ensure a smooth experience for you and your horse.

If your horse is already entered, just let our licensing clerk know—they’re here to help expedite your application. For more details on licensing requirements, please visit the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission at OHRC Licensing Division.
