SELMA, TX–JUNE 23, 2025–The wait is almost over. Retama Park is proud to welcome fans back to the track as they celebrate 30 years of live Quarter Horse racing. Opening Day for the 2025 season is Wednesday, June 26, and will be a weekend full of excitement, family fun, and fast horses.

Opening Night – Thursday, June 26
Join Retama Park for the first night of live racing as they honor three decades of speed, competition, and community. It’s the perfect way to kick off a season that promises thrills from the first post to the last.

Camel and Ostrich Racing – Friday and Saturday, June 27 and 28
The camels and ostriches return to Retama Park for two nights of unforgettable fun. These fan-favorite novelty races will take place between the live horse races.

Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. each day. The first live Quarter Horse race begins at 6:15 p.m. Ostrich races will be held after Race 3, and camels will take to the track after Race 6. These races are for entertainment purposes only, and wagering is not offered on the camel or ostrich events.

Terrace Dining Buffet Reservations
Enhance your race night experience by reserving a table for the popular Terrace Dining buffet. Enjoy a delicious chef-prepared meal while watching the action from one of the best seats in the house. Admission
General admission for live racing is $5. Children ages five and under are admitted free. Selma residents with a valid ID receive free admission.
