Stakes nominations close on Friday, October 17, for the Lone Star Park Distance Championship and the Yellow Rose of Texas Stakes.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—OCTOBER 16, 2025—Horsemen are reminded that nominations close on Friday, October 17 for two upcoming stakes races at Lone Star Park, both scheduled to be contested on Saturday, November 1.

The $50,000 Guaranteed Lone Star Park Distance Championship, set at 870 yards, is open to three-year-olds and upward.

Also closing the same day is the $50,000 Added Yellow Rose of Texas Stakes, restricted to Texas-bred fillies and mares, three-year-olds and upward, going 400 yards.

There is no fee to nominate for either event.
