DALLAS, TX–DECEMBER 8, 2025–The next episode of the QH Racing Talk – Weekly podcast on StallioneSearch.com is scheduled for a late Wednesday evening release. The timing is designed to include the post-position draw results for the 2025 Champion of Champions (G1) and the Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity (G1), both set for this weekend in Orange County, California.
The long-running QH Racing Talk series was refreshed for last week’s relaunch into a consistent, once-a-week show. The first episode of the new format went live last Wednesday and widely received across the industry. Last week’s episode was the most-downloaded podcast in the show’s history and we hope to keep that momentum moving forward.
Co-hosted by Greg Thompson and Bailey Ivey of StallioneSearch.com, QH Racing Talk – Weekly expands the show’s conversational core while keeping its focus sharp. Each episode features special guests from across the sport—trainers, jockeys, owners, breeders, and more—who add context to the performances and storylines shaping Quarter Horse racing right now.
This week’s featured guest is La Feliz Montaña Ranch owner and breeder Javier Rodriguez. A longtime horseman, Rodriguez broke onto the national racing scene in the mid-2000s with the storybook two-and three-year-old campaigns of multiple champion stakes winner Heartswideopen.
Heartswideopen’s resume includes wins in the $1.5 million All American Futurity (G1), Ruidoso Futurity (G1), Ruidoso Derby (G1), and Rainbow Derby (G1); she was also runner-up in the 2008 All American Derby (G1). That run helped define an era and remains a cornerstone of La Feliz Montaña’s legacy.
La Feliz Montaña Ranch heads into this weekend with another standout year, fielding major contenders in both championship events. Political Twist ($1,062,317, winner of the Ruidoso Futurity (G1) and West Texas Futurity (G2); second in the 2025 All American Futurity (G1)) enters the Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity (G1) as the fourth-fastest qualifier for the $1,929,825 feature.
The operation also sends FDD Dreams, winner of the 2025 All American Derby (G1) and the Ruidoso Derby (G1)) into Saturday’s 2025 Champion of Champions (G1). The All American Derby victory secured a berth into one of the sport’s most prestigious showdowns, and the step up against older company gives the weekend card another layer of intrigue.
The new weekly format builds on a proven foundation. Across the first 41 episodes of QH Racing Talk, Thompson has welcomed many of the sport’s most respected names, including Ed Burgart, Johnie Goodman, D. Wayne Lukas, “Sleepy” Gilbreath, Cody Jensen, G.R. Carter, Danny Cardoza, Tom Dawson, Chris Lincoln, Billy Hunt, James Flores, James Lackey, Gilbert Ortiz, Ricky Ramirez, Joe Merrick, Richard Chamberlain, Cliff Lambert, Paul Jones, Kip Didericksen, Blane Wood, and more.
Episode 43—the second under the QH Racing Talk – Weekly banner—will be available on StallioneSearch.com late Wednesday afternoon. Past episodes remain on demand through the site, and the podcast continues to stream across StallioneSearch social platforms, iTunes, Spotify, and other major outlets.
