Kansas Quarter Horse Racing Convention Set for Jan. 31 at Gilley’s in Wichita

WICHITA, KS–DECEMBER 29, 2025–The Kansas Quarter Horse Racing Convention is scheduled to take place at Gilley’s in Wichita, Kansas, on January 31, 2026. This event will coincide with the conclusion of the Kansas Stallion Auction, which is set to close at 11PM on January 31, 2026.

The convention will serve as a key gathering for industry professionals, breeders, and enthusiasts to discuss developments in Kansas’s quarter horse racing scene. Attendees can expect presentations, networking opportunities, and discussions on topics such as breeding, racing regulations, and the future of the industry in the state.

There will be a cash  bar, prizes and more!

The Kansas Stallion Auction, which ends on the same day, is a significant event for breeders looking to secure breeding rights to top stallions for the upcoming season. The auction’s timing aligns with the convention, providing a comprehensive experience for participants interested in both the breeding and racing aspects of quarter horse activities.

ABOUT THE CONVENTION VENUE
Gilley’s was set to open on December 15, and will house 1,000 historical horse racing (HHR) machines.  Revenue generated by these machines will fund Eureka’s purses.

Gilley’s will also have a live racebook that will be one of the nicest in the surrounding 10 states.  What has been built so far includes the Golden Circle racebook with its 150-foot video wall, a 120-machine amusement arcade called High Score, golf simulators, a bowling alley, Gilley’s BBQ, an outdoor concert area, The Back 40; and a 10-court pickleball facility with a dedicated bar and café.
