Co-produced by StallioneSearch’s Bailey Ivey and Greg Thompson, this newest installment continues the site’s respected series of in-depth features on up-and-coming Quarter Horse stallions stepping into the breeding shed.

Electrifying Cowboy has the résumé to headline the conversation. The only graded stakes winner—and top money-earning—son of Flying Cowboy 123 to stand at stud, he retired with $419,203 in earnings.

Bred in Texas by Paragon Farms, Electrifying Cowboy is owned by Tungsten Racing LLC and Ron Sugamosto. He delivered a standout race record, winning six of 10 starts while consistently taking on the sport’s toughest juvenile and sophomore company.

His rise began in 2024 when he won his West Texas Futurity-G2 trial and advanced to the finals. He followed with another statement performance in his Ruidoso Futurity-G1 trial, qualifying for the $1,000,000 final.

By fall, he was rolling. Electrifying Cowboy pieced together a four-race win streak, punctuated by the fastest qualifying time to the La Fiesta Futurity-G3 and a return trip that ended with a finals victory. He kept the momentum going at Zia Park, scoring a decisive win in the Southwest Juvenile Invitational Stakes-G2.

In 2025, he posted the fastest qualifying time to the Ruidoso Derby and also earned a spot in the Rainbow Derby. Not long after, his connections opted to retire the Texas-bred colt sound and accomplished, clearing the path for his next chapter as a stallion.
