Quarter Horse Racing Talk Weekly podcast is launching a new multi-part educational series, which will run every Wednesday, beginning March 11, 2026.

FORT WORTH, TX—MARCH 10, 2026—Quarter Horse Racing Talk Weekly, the podcast hosted by Greg Thompson and Bailey Ivy, will debut a new multi-part educational series aimed at individuals entering the business of Quarter Horse racing.

The series will feature conversations with industry leaders and high-level players from across the racing world as they discuss ways to attract new ownership to the sport and, more importantly, how to guide those new investors toward hopeful long-term success.

Each episode will focus on a different stage of the ownership experience, offering practical insight for those purchasing their first racehorse from the yearling sales or for individuals considering the purchase of a broodmare in hopes of breeding their own future runners.

This week’s guests that will be featured on the podcast include bloodstock agent Javier Alvarez, owner of Royal Vista Ranch Cole Morehead, and former AQHA World Champion and multiple All American Futurity(G1) winning trainer Blane Wood.

Topics throughout the series will include selecting the proper trainer, understanding the day-to-day responsibilities of owning a racehorse, and preparing for the financial realities that accompany the sport. Industry guest speakers will also help educate listeners on what new owners should expect when it comes to expenses such as veterinary care, shoeing, training day rates, transportation, and other miscellaneous costs that are part of maintaining a racehorse in training.

The goal of the series is to provide transparent, real-world information that helps new participants better understand the business while giving them the tools needed to make informed decisions to stay in the industry, and continue to drive commerce throughout the Quarter Horse racing world.

Starting with the March 11, 2026 edition of the podcast, new episodes of Quarter Horse Racing Talk Weekly will air every Wednesday, with each installment building on the previous discussion and addressing another important aspect of ownership within the Quarter Horse racing industry. The Wednesday launch date of new episode also allows for recaps of the previous weeks racing action, as well as previews for the upcoming stakes race on the weekend following the release.
