CYPRESS, LA—JUNE 17, 2026—There will be no nighttime racing at Los Alamitos this Saturday evening. Live Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred racing night will return on Sunday, with the program headed by the running of the Grade 1, $960,000 Ed Burke Memorial Futurity.

The Orange County track will conduct daytime racing Friday through Sunday afternoon with Saturday’s nine race card led by the $100,000 Bertrando Stakes as part of the LACF Meet at Los Alamitos. First post on Saturday is 1 p.m. The LACF Meet at Los Alamitos continues through July 5.

Los Alamitos will continue its popular Sunday night promotion this weekend by adding $10,000 to the Pick Six pool. The overnight races offered on Sunday will include the $25,000 Vandy’s Flash for 3-year-olds, plus a $25,000 race for 2-year-olds with preference given to horses that competed in the Ed Burke Memorial trials.

Sunday’s feature is the Ed Burke Memorial at 350 yards. It will be headed by Ed Allred’s Zionsville, who posted the fastest qualifying time, and Miguel Osorio’s Call Me Candela, winner of the Grade 2 Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity on May 10.

Los Alamitos previously announced that there will be no nighttime racing on Saturday, July 4, with live racing returning on Sunday, July 5. That program will feature the running of trials to the Governor’s Cup Futurity and Derby. For more information, please email larace@losalamitos.com.
