Salty King Corona Scores Second Track Record of Meet

VINTON, LA—JUNE 3, 2011—Ana Alvidrez' Salty King Corona, who posted a new Delta Downs 350 yard track record on May 15th, raced to a another new Delta Downs track record on Thursday (June 2nd) night's card.

Ridden by J.R. Ramirez, the 4-year-old, established a new 300 yard track record of :15.013 seconds to earn a 110 speed index. The previous mark of :15.023 was set May 14, 2011 by Gametime.

The King Corona gelding, trained by Miguel Rodriguez, previously broke the 350 yard track record at Delta on May 15, 2011, when he went :17.246 seconds. David Bates, Jr. and Donald Aymond bred the sorrel in Louisiana from the Salt Lake (TB) mare Salt Crystal.

It was the eighth track record broken during the current 2011 meet at Delta Downs.
