Trial Notes: Mardi Gras Futurity(RG2) winner Magic Shiney won the seventh of nine trials by 1-1/4 lengths to post the fastest qualifying time. Jess So Special won the first trial. Mardi Gras and Louisiana Breeders' Laddie futurity runner-up Streakin Patriot finished second to Magic Toast after running off in the post parade, making the final with the 10th fastest time.
