SAN ANTONIO, TX–JULY 25, 2025–A colt by four-time world champion sire FDD Dynasty topped the opening session of the 2025 TQHA Yearling Sale on Friday, bringing a final bid of $128,000 in San Antonio. Cataloged as Hip 195 and named Kosta Browne, the sale-topper was purchased by Tungsten Racing Partnership.

Overall, the opening session of the annual sale posted totals of 130 horses sold from 205 offered, grossing $2,251,800. The average price was $17,322, with a median of $9,250. While still healthy, the numbers declined from last year’s record-setting year.

Consigned by Granada Farms, Agent for Tyler and Naia Graham, Kosta Browne is by FDD Dynasty and out of Ms Highmaitenance, a daughter of Favorite Cartel. The colt is a half-brother to Grade 2 Dash For Cash Futurity winner Kiss My Maruska, G2-placed Red Reddington, and a full brother to stakes-placed Brock Landers. The strong black-type pedigree and proven family helped drive the colt’s six-figure final bid.

The second-highest seller on Friday was Hip 86, Not A Little Deal, another Granada Farms consignment for Tyler and Naia Graham. Rey Munoz signed the ticket at $100,000 for the Dealagame colt, who is out of Little Affection by Jodys Money Pop. The colt is a half-brother to Old South Futurity winner Hawkabye Baby and stakes-placed Tyler Durden, and hails from the family of champion sire Kiss My Hocks.

Rounding out the top three sellers was Hip 160, Eyema Special Eagle, by leading sire One Famous Eagle purchased for $97,000 by JLT Horse Racing. The colt, consigned by Robicheaux Ranch Inc., Agent for Simmons Racing, is out of stakes-placed Eyema Special Candy, a daughter of Oak Tree Special. He is from the family of champion runner Chasing AJ.

Rey Munoz emerged as the session’s leading buyer, acquiring two horses sold for $172,000. Tungsten Racing Partnership purchased one colt for $128,000, and JLT Horse Racing also made a single purchase totaling $97,000.

Granada Farms, Agent for Tyler and Naia Graham, led all consignors by gross, selling two yearlings for a combined $228,000. Bielau Oaks, Agent, sold 11 head for $131,800, while Bobby D. Cox sold three for $108,000.
