$700,000 Brother to World Champion Empressum Tops Opening Session of Heritage Mixed Sale on Thursday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—OCTOBER 30, 2025–Hip #116 Empressum Twopoint O, a brother to world champion Empressum, topped the opening session of the 49th annual Heritage Fall Mixed Sale on Thursday when the hammer fell at $700,000, the highest Heritage Place yearling for the 2025 sale season.

Empressum TwoPoint O Partners signed the ticket for the son of leading sire Apollitical Jess from the First Down Dash mare Crazy Down Corona. 13 Racing LLC, Agent for Steve Holt & Jeff Jones, consigned the colt who is also a half-brother to champion and All American Futurity winner Hes Judgeandjury.

"We are very grateful for the opportunity to sell such an individual and appreciate the connections for trusting Heritage Place to sell this yearling," Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said Thursday.  "We wish the best of racing luck to the new ownership group!"

Overall, the sale average for day 1 was $24,447, with 88% of the Quarter Horses offered marked as sold. Analyzing the sale without the tremendously high seller reveals an average of $18,074, which is identical to last year’s average on Quarter Horse Yearlings.

"We have a good selection of Mixed horses for the next two days and look forward to seeing everyone at Heritage Place for some good horses and seasonable Fall weather," Kidney added.

Equestix Consulting LLC paid $92,000 for Thursday's second high-seller, Hip #32, Sumoke Show, a colt by leading sire Kiss My Hocks from the stakes winner and multiple stakes producer Sumokin by Country Chicks Man. Roger Daly, Agent for Corner K Quarter Horses LLC, consigned the half-brother to four black type, including La Fiesta Futurity winner JM Country Man.

Hip #71 Hp Reliable Energy and Hip 106 Ima Fightfightfight tied for the third high-seller on Thursday at $80,000.

Vista Del Sol Inc. purchased Hp Reliable Energy, a daughter of five-time world champion sire FDD Dynasty, from Marty Powers, Agent for Highpoint Horses LLC. The bay filly is a full sibling to stakes winners Terrific Synergy, Dynasty Energy, Terrific First Down, and Designs By Dynasty.

Abraham Harms purchased the Favorite Cartel colt, Ima Fightfightfight, from the consignment of Robicheaux Ranch Inc., Agent for Bennie & Terry Jeter. Ima Fightfightfight is out of the All American Futurity(G1) winner Fly Baby Fly. Champion Higher Fire is the second dam.

Empressum TwoPoint O Partners was the first session's leading buyer, with the $700,000 high seller. Abraham Harms signed four tickets totaling $144,000 and Tom Maher paid $117,000 for two head.

13 Racing LLC, Agent for Steve Holt & Jeff Jones, was the leading consignor or agent on day 1, with the $700,000 high-seller. Lazy E Ranch, Agent sold 11 head for $212,000, and Burns Ranch, Agent had nine head for $166,000.

Apollitical Jess was the leading sire of sale yearlings (by average, two or more sold) with three for a $264,000 average. Corona Cartel sold two for a $47,000 average, and Kiss My Hocks had five yearlings, averaging $41,400.

SALE SCHEDULE
Thursday, October 30 — Session One & Two
The first session will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m., featuring Quarter Horse and Paint Yearlings (Hip #1–158), followed by Thoroughbred Yearlings (Hip #159–179).

Friday, October 31 — Session Three
The sale resumes at 10:00 a.m. with Mixed Session offerings (Hip #180–460).
A reception in the Heritage Place Restaurant & Club will follow, featuring live music by the Way Out West Band, sponsored by OQHRA, the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the AQHA.

Saturday, November 1 — Session Four
The final day will begin at 10:00 a.m., and the sale will conclude with mixed session horses (Hip #461–744).
