GAINESVILLE, TX–DECEMBER 16, 2025–Fastrack Sale Company concluded its inaugural online sale with strong participation from domestic and international buyers and steady bidding activity throughout the event.

The sale averaged $47,160 on horses sold, grossing $1,391,000 with 78% of the catalog changing hands. Buyers participated from 36 states and five countries, including Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States

“We were encouraged by the level of participation across the catalog,” said Melanie Smith, part owner of Fastrack Sale Company. “For a first sale, the number of registered bidders and the consistency of bidding exceeded expectations significantly.”

Vals Sizzling Lips, a daughter of Valiant Hero, was the high seller of the online auction at $147,500. Consigned by Bill Melson of Bobby Cox Ranch (Roger Daly, Agent), the mare drew steady interest throughout the sale.

“I was very pleased with the outcome,” Melson said. “Selling online was a new experience for me, but the interest picked up just like you’d expect, especially toward the end. The mare brought exactly what I expected, and we will definitely be doing it again.”

Sale Results: A Different Approach
Smith noted that its published sale results may differ from traditional formats. Buyer names are not released unless a buyer elects to make that information public.

“We do not publish buyer identities without consent,” Smith said. “Buyers should be able to participate without concern that their purchases will be publicly attributed unless they choose otherwise.”

Fastrack also includes post-sale transaction notes where applicable, as you will see in the below results with Train B Taka at $175,000. Company representatives continue working with buyers and sellers after the close of online bidding to facilitate private transactions on horses that did not sell during the live sale.

“Our involvement doesn’t end when bidding closes,” Smith said. “If there is continued interest, our team works to help move transactions forward.”

Smith said these practices reflect a deliberate departure from industry norms.

“We didn’t build Fastrack to conform to the existing model,” she said. “We built it to change it.”

The sale emphasized expanded disclosure, including veterinary documentation, media, and drug-testing information on racehorses offered.

“Every racehorse in the sale had a hair test performed, and the results were posted on the platform,” said Butch Wise, a Fastrack partner. “Buyers had direct access to that information without having to request it.”

Wise said the goal is consistency and clarity in horse representation.

DARK NME and Embryos
Dark NME and her embryos received sustained bidding interest throughout the sale but were ultimately repurchased by TYKHE Racing. As is standard in the auction industry, reserves and final sale decisions are set by the seller.

“Fastrack does not set reserves or make repurchase decisions,” Smith said. “That decision belongs solely to the consignor. It’s their right to repurchase their horse, whether that’s at $5,000 or $5,000,000, and anyone who has sold many horses at auction has elected to buy one back at some point in time. We sincerely appreciate everyone who bid on this mare and her embryos, and want to thank TYKHE Racing for the opportunity to represent her.”

Fastrack said its first sale marked an initial step in developing a technology-driven marketplace focused on access, disclosure, and professional representation. The company plans to hold its next sale in February.
